Annapolis, MD.
Wow.. and I mean WOW.
It's not often that I go to the capitol of my home state, Maryland.. and what a gorgeous experience it was!
The air was crisp and salty as I walked the paved streets that ran alongside the Chesapeake Bay. Boats bobbing back and forth - local coffee shops on every corner - I couldn't get enough. (Caffeine that is.)
Every wedding I have shot so far has been unique in it's own way - it's part of what makes my job so fun - but, as of now this wedding steals the cake.
Not only did it give me an excuse to wander the streets of my state's capitol - but it provided me an opportunity to take photos in an old fashioned Barbershop - YES, they still exist!
"Remember the old-time barber shop that dad took you to when you were a kid? Every man remembers his first trip to the barber with his dad or grandpa. The red and white pole outside, the big leather chairs, and maybe even a phone book to sit on... Capistrano Barbershop, the Old-Fashioned Barber Shop, is owned and operated by Faraj Capistrano, a Master Barber from Nazareth, providing old world flavor and service of days gone by."
Each groomsman was offered an ice cold beer to sip as they leaned back in their reclining chair, getting trimmed for the event that was soon to take place - They had to look their best to celebrate LOVE!
Every moment of the day carried on to be fantastic.
The Bride: stunning. The food: amazing. The music? poppin.
But, thank God for Capistrano Barbershop for keeping the men looking dapper, or as Andre 3000 would call it, "So fresh and so clean, clean."
